Project TB&C

History and purpose

• Various biomass & carbon (B&C) models for Brazilian forests were published. These models were calibrated with small data samples, mostly comprising <100 trees. TB&C unifies these data into a single database, to then generate more robust models, reliable nationally. The focus is harmonizing and improving estimation of B&C stored in forests of Brazil. 

Audience

• Scientists, companies, agencies and organizations related to forest biomass quantification and carbon emission.

What do we offer?

• The TB&C App: An estimator of B&C for forests of Brazil.

Aims:

• Unifying a tree-biomass database with nationwide coverage.

• Providing more accurate B&C models with specificity to forest types in Brazil.

Goals

• Publishing scientific articles on forest carbon, climate change and carbon emission.

• Maintaining our Apps permanently on-line.
