Project TB&C

History and purpose

• Various biomass & carbon (b&c) models for the Brazilian forests were published. These models were calibrated with small data sample, mostly comprising <100 trees. TB&C unifies these data into a single database, to then generate more robust models, reliable nationally. The focus is harmonizing and improving estimation of the b&c stored in forests of Brazil.

Aims:

• Unifying a tree-biomass database with nationwide coverage.

• Providing more accurate b&c models with specificity to forest types in Brazil.

Goals

• Publishing scientific articles on forest carbon, cliamte change and carbon emission.

• Maintaing our Apps permanently on-line.
